analyzing myself

as my ai/llm usage increased, i feel like i have more and more lost the meaning of coding

my passion and the drive for coding has somehow been replaced by this foreign feeling of constant kick of being able to do anything and everything in the world

i didnt code much before, but whatever i did code, was my own. i still remember the good feeling it used to give me when i was able to understand and express myself in code

i should have learnt more and coded on my own more so that i could find my happy place and wire my brain to that positive experience. but i let it slip away, did not act and stayed timid. this coupled with the meteoric rise of llms have genuinely robbed me out of the learning and experiences that would have made me a better developer and keep me sane.

it has been the hardest for us beginners to try and understand concepts and their applications. we clearly are seeing that llms started with taking over frotnend, reactjs, html, css side, and now it is where a senior developer would be. this has created a void in the market, introduced a vacuum that has smaller, beginner, aspiring developers with no place to work or learn. its a lose-lose situation where, using ai will make you dumber and you'll fall behind otherwise. and a win-win for corporations where ever ceo's wet dream of outsourcing work has turned into straight up elimination of work. (cite. Drew Gooden)

i myself have noticed the significant drop in skill, thinking and capabilities and all i can do is "yo claude fix this no mistakes pls". this is not good for anyone. the more i used ai, themore i had gotten into psychosis and false sense of understanding of myself. i have thus, cancelled all kinds of llm subscription plans and all that are paid. ill try my hardest not to use the free models as well but i hey i can't guarantee that. getting back to old school (i cant believe that i said that, guys im not that old cmon) is the only tough and hard way to get to actually be able to jump that chasm of knowledge gap and hopefully catch the last train thats leaving the station of programmers that aren't just vibe coders who can't fucking code. im not against vibe coding, its the same as meth. you feel better and focused, but u aint, and u make dumb decisions along with it

here's hoping that i will be able to catch the rope thats slipping away from my hands and pull myself back up into safety

lets see how this goes. ill try to put myself on track and ill keeping sharing how the day went and how bad it was, i know itll be bad for a lot of time and it'll take a wwwhhile before i can even start to enjoy the work im putting in
